About The Event

The Rugby In The Square tournament is a chance to witness rugby's spirit of competitiveness and camaraderie. We've invited Toronto's most engaged employers to tough it out on the pitch in a 5-aside version of flag rugby.

Rugby in the Square is a co-ed non-contact flag rugby tournament with industry-focused brackets. Each team (of up to 10 players) is guaranteed a minimum of 3 games. Teams can participate in activations around Nathan Phillips Square from the Toronto Inner-City Rugby Foundation, Rugby Ontario and some of our partners.

TORONTO INNER-CITY RUGBY FOUNDATION

Building community through rugby and rugby through community

Toronto Inner-City Rugby Foundation (TIRF) is a rugby-centred community development organization that uses rugby as a tool for social good. TIRF, a registered non-profit founded in 2011, builds community through rugby in 31 of Toronto’s under-served, low-income and priority neighbourhoods. Working in partnership with Rugby Canada; Rugby Ontario, nine Toronto-based rugby clubs; school boards and community service providers, TIRF reduces the financial, geographical, and cultural barriers that prevent children and youth from participating in the sport.
